We grew traditional medicines as well and formed relationships with other food/farm groups and nonprofits serving the Wabanaki community. We received food donations of garlic, various teas and traditional herbs that we delivered to the various reservation communities. We brought a dozen tribal members to the planting grounds and engaged them in the education, planting, maintenance and harvesting processes, as well as the delivery process. In the event of potential conflicts of interest arising, Board members schedule meetings to address them and document such conflicts in our meeting minutes. When a potential conflict of interest appears during a board vote/deliberation, the individual(s) with conflict recuse themselves from the voting process and sometimes (when called for) will leave that portion of the meeting altogether.. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15a Executive Director receives $25/hour for work weeks of 20 hours/week. This is a part time position that includes networking with landholders and donors, site visits, attending conferences and giving presentations about the organization's work and the land-justice conservation movement, overseeing hiring and contracting, designing and exectuing programs.
