A copy of the organization's 990 is provided on an annual basis as soon as it is filed to the supported organization. The supported organization has a copy of the organization's governing documents. Section D, line 2 St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, Inc. ("Auxiliary") maintains a close and continuous working relationship with St. Joseph's Hospital, Inc. ("Hospital") partially as a result of what it does. The Auxiliary is an organization of volunteers that work at the Hospital's facilities under the supervision of Hospital employees. The Hospital has two employees who are ex-officio members of the board and attend the Auxiliary's board meetings. These employees inform the board of the needs and wishes of the Hospital. Section D, line 3 Due to the close relationship between the Auxiliary and the Hospital, the Hospital had a significant voice in the organization's monetary policies. It exercised this voice through its participation on the Auxiliary's Board. It is also illustrated by the fact that the profits of the Auxiliary's fundraisers and profits from operations of the gift shop are regularly contributed to the fundraising arm of the Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital of Tampa Foundation, Inc. In 2022 this amount totaled $415,200. Section E , Line 2a The supported organization is St. Joseph's Hospital, Inc. The Auxiliary serves as the focal point for the volunteers supporting the Hospital. These volunteers operate the Hospital's various gift shops, assist in patient care and perform many other functions on a volunteer basis to the Hospital. All of these volunteers work under the direct supervision of Hospital employees. The volunteers also supervise various fundraisers on behalf of the Hospital where the profits from these fundraisers are contributed to the Hospital's fundraising arm, the St. Joseph's Hospital of Tampa Foundation, Inc. Section E, Line 2b The Auxiliary organizes the volunteers of the Hospital. These volunteers run the Hospital's gift shops, assist in patient care and provide various volunteer services to the Hospital. Without these volunteers, the Hospital, in many cases, would have to use Hospital employees to provide these support services. In all cases the Hospital patient's experience is enhanced by these cheerful volunteers. The work of the Auxiliary's volunteers is an integral part of providing quality care to the Hospital's patients and their guests.
