ABIC helped around 200 immigrant owned small businesses gain access to the Paycheck Protective Program funding, and move towards resource and capacity building through government resources that have been traditionally difficult to obtain. 972007 30000 Immigration Advocacy: ABIC will research and promote sensible immigration policy that supports the economy of the United States. The ABIC Project is also working to organize business coalitions nationally to develop and implement pro-immigrant policies. For example, in November of 2019, the U.S. Supreme Court took up a case regarding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a law that protects eligible immigrant youth who came to the United States when they were children from deportation and allows them to obtain a work permit.
