An application review committee reviews each application for data that might be confusing or missing. The Board of Directors then reviews each request and is very selective in choosing to fund those organizations whose programs or services fulfill our mission - the focus being on those which benefit the indigent, needy, disadvantaged, at-risk, or uninsured residents. Success of a program is documented in that each application asks for results from the previous year if they were awarded a grant in the previous year. For newly funded organizational programs, the YCVA asks that a written report be submitted at the end of our fiscal year describing the use of the money and the number of persons/families that are assisted.
