We support outstanding Teacher of the Year, EMT, Police and Fire Fighters. We have a WWII Navy Gun Mount on the property to commemorate those from WWI. We have registered these weapons with VFW National. Schedule D, Part III, Line 4 We have several M1 Rifles used for display, Parades, Honor Guard and Funerals. We also have a static display of a Navy gun Mount that was donated from a member from WWII. Form 990, Part III, Line 2 The Post is organized to assist it's members, community and veterans. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The members are responsible for electing officers and appointing committee chairpersons. All funds spent for the operations of the organization are voted on and approved by the membership. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b The Veterans of Foreign operate under National, State and Post By-Laws that are approved by the overall organization. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Post is to provide programs, benefits and support of our members, auxiliary, communities and Veteran Families. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a - The Organization nominates and elects officers annually. There must be a forum of the membership war not less than 30 consecutive days or a total of 60 days in the war zone. These members are required to pay annual dues or become a each meeting and can be shown to any member requesting to review. Quarterly the financials are reviewed and audited by the Trustees Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The Post is annually inspected by the Department of Florida VFW. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 18 The membership can request information on the operations from the Commander and Quartermaster at anytime. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Post operations are subject to Audit and Inspection at anytime. All records and funds are managed by the organization and it's officers.
