Marion Voices MVITS program including our allied Teaching Artists' Training Program TATP was our largest suite of community folklife programming for FY2022. With support from a number of grant funders we launched a full Marion County folk arts curriculum & trained local community culture-keepers & folk artists to be teaching artists in the schools. While direct grants to our partner school supported artists pay Marion Voices provided larger infrastructural development of the program as well as funding for a community folk arts festival held at a partner school site. The program piloted at Garfield Elementary School in January May 2022 served over 465 students & ten local teaching artists & culminated in the community festival which drew over 400 attendees but also in the design & printing of a commemorative 50-page book provided to all students.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
