Coaching that provides tools for being financially stable and transforming lives. 1 0 111666 0 1455242 The organization's primary and innovative program supplements rent for working parents with children for three years to allow them to move from lower-resourced neighborhoods into communities with safer neighborhoods, healthy housing, good schools, employment opportunities, grocery stores and sidewalks that lead to parks and recreation. Families are required to participate in provided ongoing financial, wellness, housing, education and career coaching and monthly programs (approximately 5 hours per month) for the three years while in Move to PROSPER. For the ten families (with 18 children) that completed the initial pilot of the program, implemented and evaluated in coordination with The Ohio State University's City and Regional Planning program along with community partners, families saw an average income increase of $17,000 or 58%, average credit score increase of 22% to 643, improved mental and physical health, elevated career aspirations of children, establishment of emergency savings accounts, and the financial ability to stay in their new neighborhoods at the end of the program. Because our families are committing to move their families and spend three years in our program, it is the policy of Move to PROSPER's board of directors to raise all of the money for a 15-20 family group's entire stay before opening applications for that group. Grantees must be participants of Families Flourish in order to be eligible for funds. Grant funds are used as a set amount of monthly rental support and do not fluctuate. All Families Flourish participants receive the same funding. Funding continues as long as they continue to participate in required program activities Form 990, Part III, Line 2 The organization launched, after a pilot period with The Ohio State University, to bring the next 100 families into its program. As part of that, significant fundraising and administrative costs were incurred in the 7 months of 2022 that constitutes the period of this report. Most of these expenses were incurred prior to starting to bring families into the MTP program, in order to raise the necessary funding to support the initiative and families. The Board of Directors established a policy of raising funding (pledges and cash) for the full three years of the program for each group of approximately sixteen families prior to admitting families into the program. In 2022, the first fifteen families joined the organization's program. See Part III, line 4a for additional information on the organization's program. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The President and Treasurer worked with the organization's consulting firm to prepare the 990. The Board's Finance Subcommittee, chaired by the Board Treasurer who is a member of the Executive Committee, reviewed the 990 at its meeting so questions could be addressed. The Board of Directors received a copy of the 990 and voted on its approval. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Conflict of interest Statements are signed upon joining the Board of Directors and then in July annually by every Board member. Statements are filed in the organization's board files. The President reviews the Statements to see if there are any conflicts. If any are disclosed, the President will provide such information to the Executive Committee to determine actions to be taken, if any. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Chief Executive compensation is reviewed and approved by the Finance Subcommittee and then the Board of Directors. Annually the Executive Committee reviews performance of the Chief Executive and reports to the Board of Directors.
