Therefore, to qualify for consideration, projects must cost a minimum of five thousand dollars [$5,000]. All projects will need to be reviewed and approved by the Grand Blanc Athletic Department before submission to the Grand Blanc Athletic Foundation. Funding availability determination will either be funds in excess of current commitments or based on donations that have been designated for specific projects or benefiting specific athletic interests. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a Per our bylaws, GBAF can have up to 13 members on the Board of Directors. At the start of 2022, GBAF had 11 Board Members. Three are appointed by the Grand Blanc Community Schools including the Director of Operations, the Athletic Director, and a Board of Education representative. Another Member of the Board is appointed as our legal representative. There are 9 remaining Board of Director positions that are elected to 3 year terms. During the course of the year we had 3 Board Members resign and subsequently elected 3 new Board Members via nomination and vote by the of the existing Board of Directors. There remains 2 open Board of Director positions. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 8b Committees will make recommendations for the Board of Directors to consider for approval. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b This is GBAF's first filing of the 990 Form since prior to 2022 our income had not exceeded $50,000. Prior review of the 990 Form before filing has not been specified. In addition to the Treasurer's monthly Financial Reports (P&L and Balance Sheet) that are reviewed at each meeting, the Vice President is responsible for conducting an annual audit of the Treasurer's financial records and processes. If the need to conduct a prior review before filing is a concern, this process can be discussed at a future board meeting.
