Volunteers provide assistance with light housekeeping duties, laundry, essential shopping errands and meal preparation. It is the only agency provider of Older American Act services in Riley County. A comprehensive application process is used in which the applicant agencies document work, progress, populations and numbers served, etc. for the year. Periodic reports are made to the governing body of the Riley County Council on Aging, Inc. through the year. Grant monies to each agency are distributed in two portions and the receipt of those monies depends on demonstrated satisfactory performance. All checks on the organization's two accounts are signed and countersigned by the Treasurer and the Chairman. Copies of financial statements are submitted to the Executive Board at each monthly meeting.
