In Fiscal year 2023, we had over 18,500,000 indicated decisions for Christ.(3)Grow: Global Media Outreach helps individuals grow in their faith with online resources available through our websites, social media, and email. Whether someone has just accepted Christ, rededicated their life to God, or still has questions, GMO also has thousands of volunteers who provide prayer, guidance, and discipleship. In Fiscal year 2023, we received over 1.5 million new contacts who wanted to engage more deeply to grow in their faith.In addition to this work, we made strategic investments in our discipleship response platform, PATH, to allow our volunteer online missionaries to engage better and track the progress of individuals who have spiritual questions or want to grow in their new faith. We also developed a robust training program for all our volunteer online missionaries and created new video ads and discipleship content. The primary means of reaching worldwide populations is through the placement of advertisements, the primary program service expense, on numerous websites in numerous languages. Because of the mobility and diversity of the populations reached, it is not possible to correlate specific expenses incurred with a specific geographic region. For example, the spanish language advertisements are primarily reaching spanish speaking people in Central and South America while populations in regions of North America and Sub-Saharan Africa are responding primarily to english language advertisements. Once a person has responded to an advertisement by clicking the link on the website, the person is redirected to Global Media Outreach's own website which is maintained in the United States. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The Organization regularly monitors its compliance with the conflict of interest policy by allowing an interested person to make a presentation at a governing board or committee meeting. Claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken. Additionally, conflict of interest policy disclosures are completed and signed by board members and officers on an annual basis. The disclosures are reviewed by the CFO. The Chairman of the Finance Committee reviews the CFO's annual disclosure. Should any potential conflicts of interest be disclosed, the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in any deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by the relationship. In the case of minister's compensation when box 5 of the W-2 is not applicable, box 1 compensation is used.
