(ECC), which provides various camp programs and facilities, is owned by Steve and Sara Kuljis, who are currently in the role of advising Founders within Star Rock Ministries (SRM), and until September 2023 were non-voting Board members and officers of SRM. SRM gives camperships (grants) to certain organizations who screen their own applicants for camperships. SRM requires these organizations to disallow any campership monies to go to anychild or youth connected to SRM or ECC. The campership money that ECC receives for each camper is at or below ECC's cost for their camp services; they do not make a profit on camperships. Funds received by ECC are recorded as income for their tax return purposes. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2 Sara and Steve Kuljis are married. Throughout 2022 and until September 2023, they were officers of the organization, but were non-voting members of the Board. In September 2023, they were replaced as officers, but continued as non-voting founders of the organization. In May 2023, the organization filed Form 8868, Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File and Exempt Organization Return, extending the filing deadline to November 15, 2023. The IRS approved the Application on July 24, 2023.
