Grant funding helps the Foundation achieve its vision through collaboration with nonprofit and community partners by supporting improvements in human rights, healthcare access, professional training, and more. In addition, the Foundation has established several scholarship funds. Scholarships are granted to students pursuing professions in the healthcare industry. During 2022, the Foundation awarded over $260,000 grants and scholarships to local organizations and students. Notably, the Foundation supported a back-to-school event and students painting a mural at the school. Currently, 44.9 percent of Carl Cozier Elementary is eligible for free or reduced lunch due to family income. These grants enabled access to after-school programs and placemaking to cultivate belonging in our schools.
