JRSA's vision is to be the premier professional organization for all state justice researchers and statistical analysis centers that promotes the use of statistical data and research to guide policy and practice, creating a more effective and responsive criminal justice system in the states. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 JRSA has three classes of membership: student, individual and institutional. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members elect the governing body. Each member in good standing of the Association has voting and office-holding privileges. Student, individual and non-SAC institutional members each have one vote. Institutional members recognized by the Bureau of Justice Statistics as a Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) are accorded five votes which may be cast by the SAC Director alone or distributed among up to four staff members in addition to the SAC Director.
