We provide four types of services: medical, support, educational and material resources.In 2022, the Medical Services department provided 179 pregnancy tests, 75 ultrasounds for abortion-vulnerable women and 38 STI tests. The Support Services department offers multiple programs: one-on-one mentoring for women and coaching for men through the Step Up Program, group learning and encouragement through the Single Moms Support Group and haircuts through the on-site client salon. In 2022, there were 2,367 hours of one-on-one mentoring and coaching as well as 329 emergency visits for clients who were out of necessary resources such as diapers and formula. There were 434 adult visits to the Single Moms Support Group in addition to 1434 hours of childcare for this program. A total of 196 men and women attended classes throughout 2022 with 1262 visits. The Material Resources department meets crucial tangible needs of families in the community. In 2022, Alpha Grand Rapids distributed 192,492 diapers, 41,400 articles of clothing and 1,016 cans of formula, as well as many other infant and maternity necessities. A total of 84,486 items were earned by clients in our programs, at an overall value of $442,611.
