Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 The organization defines individuals as members of the club. All members of the organization have voting rights. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a The organization has a nominating committee made up of the three most recent past commodores. Once a commodore has served his term he then goes on the nominating commitee and the person who has been on the committee the longest steps down. The annual meeting is held on the first Sunday in November every year, but the board's positions are for a two year period. The nominating committee reviews the members and will nominate one person to a fleet captain position, which is the lowest rank for the board of directors. Therefore, every two years after the nominating committee has selected the individual for this position it is then voted on by all the members. The board members move up one position in rank, from fleet captain to commodore. If someone steps down before the two year term is up they simply move up in rank sooner and a new fleet captain is nominated and voted into the board at that time.
