The Club property is direct waterfront property situated near the East coast of the US, and includes boating docks, anchorage and basin and is located in Hudson County, NJ which was declared a Federal disaster area. In 2013, the Club received property damage insurance proceeds of $369,075 that was used entirely to reimburse the Club for property damage repairs and expended to restore the Club's property to its form and status prior to the Hurricane Sandy damages. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Robbins Reef Yacht Club is a NJ non-profit corporation formed on September 13, 1906. The Club has 128 voting members. The members annually elect officers and trustees as its governing body. The Club has no employees and no officer or member receives any compensation. All members are required to work a certain number of hours annually on the premises, with no pay. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a See explanation provided for Question 6 Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Form 990 for the Robbins Reef Yacht Club is annually prepared by a local accountant (non-member) for no compensation, who is familiar with the Club's operation. There is no formal process of review of the Form 990 before filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Available upon request The Robbins Reef Yacht Club filed a Form 8868 Extension request by certified mail (USPS No. 7020-1810-0000-6589-1949) on April 14, 2021 that was received by IRS on April 26, 2021. While the original extension for filing is to November 15, 2021, an additional emergency extension has been granted by the IRS under the FEMA "Hurricane IDA Disaster Relief" that extends the filing of this 2020 Form 990 until January 3, 2022. The Club qualifies for this FEMA emergency extension because it is located in Hudson County, NJ. Because of the mandatory e-filing requirement for the 2020 Form 990, we are attempting to e-file this return before November 20, 2021 - which is the last day to e-file before the IRS shuts down its e-filing processing system until January 10, 2022 for a tax e-filing systems processing change-over to the new tax year.
