Due to the Covid 19 virus, the Foundation did not conduct its normal operations during 2020. Due to social distancing many regional, national and international regattas were cancelled for the junior sailors. The Foundation normally helps to support these events and scholarship grants were substantially reduced. The Foundation expects to conduct a normal operation in 2021. Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process Review of the 990 is conducted by the Treasurer, who is also a retired CPA. A copy of the 990 is also provided to each Board member. During 2020 contributions given to the Foundation through PayPal in the amount of $4,869 were not forwarded to the Foundation in the 2020 calendar year, therefore the Foundation used the accrual method to record that amount as income in 2020.
