This Fund is to allow the Society to be largely self-sustaining, and assist the organization in (a) underwriting the support of major works requiring large orchestras and performance venues, some of which cannot now be performed for financial reasons, (b) ensuring the selection of the highest quality soloists to perform with the Society, (c) continuing the program of supporting young artists who aspire to a performing career, and giving them the opportunity to perform this great music, (d) keeping ticket prices to a minimum, allowing the widest possible range of citizens to attend and enjoy, and (e) reaching out to segments of the community who have not heard these works.
